Blue Table Webinars 2025 - A New Climate for Humanity: Living Together in the Digital Era
Who are we as humans, and how do we connect with each other? These questions feel more important than ever as rapid new technological developments, like AI, blur the line between real and fake. They challenge us to rethink what it means to exist. While individual and collective lives evolve, some things have always stayed constant - at least, that’s what history has shown. But perhaps, living together on this planet, with all its uncertainties and possibilities, will need a fresh perspective moving forward.

What are the Blue Table Webinars?
The hour-long webinars, usually taking place one Wednesday afternoon (Central European Time) per month, take the format of panel discussions with each panelist giving a short presentation on the topic and answering questions.
Experts from all over the world - including members of the Globethics network and Pool of Experts - spanning multiple disciplines and backgrounds, contribute to the discussions, offering unique perspectives grounded in lived experiences.

What topics have been covered in previous Blue Table Webinars?
2024 - Beyond Ourselves: Ethics for Futures. We are living in uncertain times. Can ethics assist us in understanding the world as it is and as we imagine it to become? What role do ethics have in shaping our futures? Which responsibilities do we have to assume as humans – beyond ourselves – for future generations and for the planet? The 2024 series shed light on how we can understand the future in its different and plural articulations.
2023 - What are we learning for? The 2023 series explored the mutating world of learning and inequitable access to and quality of education, providing a platform for ethical reflections to find meaningful avenues for solutions to these issues.
2022 - In 2022, the Blue Table Webinars looked at What It Means To Be Human, endeavouring to stimulate conversations around key ethical interrogations on humanity in relationship with other living species.
2021 - In 2021, for the first edition of the series, we talked deeply on topics such as democracy, ecology, economy and arts and the relation of ethics with them.
